Very cool design! And for those who question the functionality of the silencer/bayonet combo, that silencer is going to give out at some point. And when every shot is going to give your position away it's nice to have something as a last line of defense This dude is prepared!
While true, untill he removes the silencer the bayonette is not only none-functional, it actualy degrades the accuracy of the rifle both by throwing of the weight even more than just the silencer, it also means the barrel has another contact spot where vibrations can effect accuracy.
If he has the time to unscrew a disfunctional silencer, he has time to put on a bayonette. Untill then, leave the bayonette in the sheet where he can get to it in a hurry should he need a knife.
I have to agree to the below...that the bayonet and the suppressor are not combat...sure it could be a QD silencer...but that doesn't help him in the heat of a fight: "Hold on while I unscrew my silencer so I can gut you"... That's really the only fallacy I see in this picture. everything else is badass, and I want one to guard my house and kill trespassers.
Perhaps put the bayonet on his chest as a tactical knife.
I suppose in this particular case, somewhat, because the bayonet is a multi-tac combat knife, but traditionally, bayonets are not designed with a sharp edge, and thus are more or less useless for slashing... as axes are for hacking, and rely on weight and leverage as much as an edge for dealing damage, it would be impractical to use your weapon as an axe unless you were utterly out of ammunition, in which case whatever hes got on his back would work better than the bayonet. And against an armored opponent, slashing wont do any good anyway, because you'd have bullet resistant combat vest and plated armor over a tough skin suit, over a specially designed T- shirt; that's a lot to cut through...punching and stabbing action is faster and more certain. Its also much easier to transition the weapon to stab than it is to angle it to slash, and you can put more power in a stab. This is presuming whatever he is "Bleaching" is wearing armor. against squishy zombies and such, this might be more effective... Quite frankly, if he ever gets to the point where he DOES have to use EITHER of them, his mission has been compromised, and hes likely just buying time by that point... Either way, I'm Over-analyzing it...its a badass picture, and I'm wondering when hes going to open up the markets so I can buy one of these guys and make him stand on my front door, so he can stare at people and look scary. Kudos to Hokunin
Ever heard of a QD Silencer? In a tight situation, he could take it off if he wanted to, therefore enabling him to use the bayonet. The operative seems to be prepared, even if the situation might not call for a bayonet.
A bayonet isn't really a swinging weapon and is made a tad redundant by the sword . All that said, love the picture overall, the armor looks awesome and the gun is fantastic. Excellent quality overall!
